Pisa
a few links to Pisa:
an English text of education and research minister Edelgard Bulmahn to the consequences of Pisa in D-Land.
Austrian Pisa page - like it very much, especially the analyzes the allegation of lack of "seriousness" - especially Germany - and the theory of "less fun playing and pedagogy and more order and subordination lead to better PISA results, "I find excellent. And of course diagrams do three times as much fun if not" girls "and" boy ", but" girls "and" boy "is used.

10x Pocket Hd Camcorder
time again what really big download?
My recommendation for lovers of of extensive tables:
you Fetches the complete record of the dt students in the PISA study (80 MB) are
for each student Gibts ne line in the table, the column for test results and results of questionnaires (also here) , the parents and the students have filled out.
makes the total of 1800 columns and 32 000 Lines.
Unfortunately you need to look at the table an extra program called SPSS, a 30-day trial but you can get at SPSS.com (100 MB).
Happy research!

essay "elites in Germany" by Michael Hartmann (Sociology Professor at the Technical University Darmstadt) on the side of the Federal Agency for Civic Education (Home: bpb.de ).
The article is not all too easy to read "just the side", but I do quite well (I have only read part NEN). I also find the explanations and footnotes that opens very chic.
A small quote from the conclusion:
"represent the mainstream of elite research from the functionalist position, the recruitment of elite success primarily on the basis of individual performance has not been confirmed."
One can argue about it is, in my opinion, but a good starting point (to fight).

Martin Auer, including children's book author who had has a quite nice website, the I can highly recommend:
http://www.martinauer.net/
I find particularly amazing German for aliens - this is done with nonsense text to try to capture the sound of the language dt, without understanding the contents of the Gesprchenen / written word (like for example a non-Chinese speaking person perceives Chinese).
